Message from CPA
Established in August 1990 as a unit of MHRD,
Government of India, National Project Implementation Unit (NPIU) has
implemented five World Bank assisted projects (TECH ED-I- III and
TEQIP-I- II) in Technical Education successfully. NPIU is known for
its professional approach in implementing World Bank assisted projects
in Technical Education and has been serving the society through participating
institutions for the development of knowledge society.
NPIU is now implementing the third phase of Technical
Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP-III) with the objective
of enhancing of quality of Technical Education with a focus on North
Eastern, Hilly area and low income States of India. NPIU expects full
support from all its stake holders for making yet another project
successful in terms of its deliverables.

Brief Introduction of CPA
Prof. (Dr.) P M Khodke was the Principal,
Government College of Engineering, Karad, Maharashtra (2014-2017).
Besides being principal, he has also served as a Director, Maharashtra
State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai (2011-2014) and also as
a Principal, Government College of Engineering, Amravati (2003-2011).
He was also the Joint Director, Technical Education of Amravati region.
Dr. Khode was a faculty in various Government Engineering
Colleges in Maharashtra occupying different positions like Lecturer,
Assistant Professor and Professor. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering
and completed M.Tech and PhD from VNIT, Nagpur with a specilization
in Production Engineering. He has also done his MBA.
He has published over 80 Research papers in International
Journals and conferences of repute and obtained 3 patents. He has
successfully guided 7 Research students for PhD. Dr. Khodke received
the “Best Teacher Award” from Government of Maharashtra in 2011. He
is very active in professional societies and has an extensive experience
of working on various universities bodies. He has visited France,
USA, Belgium, Turkey, Singapore & Dubai for participating in various
delegations and academic leadership programs.
